What is the SpamShield?

SpamShield is a little extra we have added to Online Armor. It works with most mail clients and aims to identify spam. Spam Messages are marked with [Spamshield] in the subject line. You can the use mail rules in your chosen mail client to do with it as you wish. Probably in the first case move them to a separate folder until you trust SpamShield enough to just move 'em right to the trash.

How does it work?

It checks emails you receive for any URLs of known "Spam-vertised" websites. If if finds an email that contains such a URL then it will flag it as Spam. If it finds a URL that has been used as a part of a Phishing scam - it'll flag that as SPAM as well.

How well should I expect it to perform?

Individual results may vary - spammers have changed their tactics now, but you should expect it to get between a good chunk of spam, with no false alarms.

How do I train it?

You don't have to just turn it on, and the Spam is identified and processed.
